“Close to Collapse”

The Montana behavioral health system is close to collapse.

State-approved Medicaid providers who treat the Seriously Mentally Ill adults and Seriously Emotionally Disturbed children across the state are suffering from the increase of referrals due to the pandemic and the inability to compete for a workforce due to low Medicaid reimbursement. We have submitted proposals to the State for steps to immediately shore up the decimated system and additional steps to take over the next 12 months and in the future to completely transform the system. Montana has an opportunity with bold state leadership to transform the long-broken behavioral health system and put it on a level playing field with medical healthcare. Work with us to make this important life-changing transformation happen!
